Lobbies Open Normal Hours - EIP Card Questions
First State Bank Customers;
Effective May 29th, 2020, we have been notified that the government has been mailing out Economic Impact Payment Cards for funds from the CARES Act. Please be sure you are checking your mail for these cards if you have not yet received any economic impact funds. These cards can be used in several different ways. Point of sale purchases anywhere Visa Debit Card is accepted is an option. Once you set up a PIN # you can withdraw cash at ATMs, but you will be charged a surcharge fee. Also, if using an ATM, be sure to select you're using a Visa Debit and to withdraw from Checking. The best way we've found to receive funds without incurring fees from the card and deposit them into the bank account of your choosing is to transfer the funds through the ACH transfer method listed on the mailed instructions. Please note, you will need access to a personal email address and a mobile phone that receives text messages to set up an account. You will need to go to the eipcard.com website and click on "Log in here" to register as a new user. Lastly, be sure to keep the card in a safe place even after spending the funds in case there is another round of stimulus funds that are distributed and new cards are not issued. As always, please call with any questions.
